Central Special-Needs Kids Cookbook Fundraiser

Do you or someone you know have a "special-needs" child? Most everyone does, whether it is ADD or Autism, Cleft Lip or Epilepsy or any number of other things. Ever wanted to help in some small way?

This group was organized with that purpose in mind. We are currently collecting recipes to be compiled into a cookbook with all of the proceeds to go to benefit these children. Please see below for more information.

What We Do

Recipes will be collected through August 29, 2008. (recipes must be received by this date to allow time to be processed before printing, no exceptions, sorry) These will then be put into a cookbook to go on sale in November of 2008. If you would like to reserve a copy, please see our our ordering page to pre-order.

The books will sell for $18.00 each with shipping available, or email us for locations in the area to pick one up. Once the books are sold, all of the proceeds will be distributed to benefit the children in the area with special needs.* 

*The proceeds will be divided evenly between three designated areas: The Autism Foundation, Cleft Lip and Pallet Foundation, and the Special-Needs Programs at local area schools to purchase needed equipment and supplies.

If you would like to submit a recipe, download the recipe form, complete it, sign your name at the bottom of the form, and mail it to the address listed in the bottom right corner of this page. Be sure to write your name, address, and contact information on the back of the form for the contest below. If you choose to email the recipes, please make sure to include all of the required information as stated on the recipe form. The recipes must be original recipes. Please do not submit recipes from other cookbooks or cooking websites. By submitting a recipe, you agree that no copy right infringement occured.

If you own a business or have a special-needs child, and would be interested in placing an ad in the cookbook, please contact us for sizes and prices of ads available.

Contest

A contest will be held with the winner to receive one of ten free copies of the Unique Cooking, For Unique Kids cookbook through a random drawing. The contest rules are as follows:

1. Each recipe submission earns one entry into the contest with a limit of ten entries per person. Multiple entries can be mailed or emailed together. If recipes are emailed, they must contain the information as listed on the recipe form.
2. To submit a recipe, download the recipe form, complete it, sign your name at the bottom of the form, and mail it to the address listed in the bottom right corner of this page. Be sure to write your name,  address, and contact information on the back of the form for the contest. If emailing the recipe, include the same information as above.  
3. The entries must be original recipes (not borrowed from any other cookbooks or web sites) to qualify for possible printing or the contest. 
4. All entries must be typed and legible to be considered.
5. All entries must be mailed  or emailed and received by August 29, 2008. No exceptions will be made for the contest.
6. Drawing will be held August 31, 2008. Winners will be notified by email at the close of the contest.
7. Prizes will be mailed to the winners in November, 2008.
8. Persons who subimit recipes chosen to be printed in the cookbook will be notified by email.
